Helping a stranger buy medicine.

I was sitting in my car in the parking lot at a strip mall. My window was cracked slightly as I overheard a man in the car next to me talking on the phone. I am not sure who he was talking to but he was distressed because he just found out that his wife needed some medication and he didn’t have the money to buy it. For some reason, I felt the holy spirit tell me to talk to this stranger. So when he hung up, I started to talk with him and I asked him what was going on. He told me that his wife was ill and needed some medicine but he had no money to buy it. He was in the parking lot about to go interview for a job and was quite upset.

Once he left I went to a nearby ATM and took out some cash. The man had left his window open just a crack and so I slipped the money into his car along with a note that just said “for your wife’s medicine. God bless you” and I left. I didn’t stick around to see him return but I know that is something that God led me to do and it felt great to do it.
