My wife and I feel like God wants us to give $100 tip at two different restraunts, just because!

My wife felt like we were supposed to give two $100 bills to our servers at two different restaurants. We both spent some serious time in prayer asking our heavenly Father to guide us to where He wanted us to go.

We wanted to give generously to someone while having absolutely no agenda. We didn’t demand any particular response, and didn’t give them our contact info in case they wanted to thank us. None of that mattered. We know that God sees people in their need and that He is a very capable leader. He is so capable that He may even be able to lead a normal couple like us to a specific person who needs a pick-me-up in whatever situation they’re going through.

My wife knew really quickly where she wanted to go. It took quite a while longer for me to figure it out. After I had been praying for some time I got a picture in my imagination of the “Undergroud” (subway) logo in London. I hopped on Google to see if there was a restaurant nearby called The Underground. No luck. I also looked up the underground logo and tried to Google other restaurant logos to see if any of them match. No go. I let it soak in my head for a while and went on with my day.

It wasn’t until a few days later when I was praying again about something completely different that I realized, “Little Chicago!” If you don’t have those where you live, the logo looks almost identical to the Underground. We were excited.

We wrote out a note tell the person how God had led us to their restaurant and that we had been led by Him to give them this special gift. We ended up leaving a card for our church in case they wanted help figuring out who this God was, but tried really hard to make it clear that there was no pressure, we just wanted them to be blessed. This is how we spent our date night.

A few weeks later we did the same thing at the restaurant that Michelle had felt impressed to go to. Again a note. Again, no idea of the effects or results. We trust that our Father is able to figure out all the results and is very capable of leading and using two willing people like us.
