I Like car shopping.

We bought a car for our pastor's family

God woke me up at 4am with a thought that we needed to do something generous for our pastor and his family. Initially they denied needing anything, so we thought we would buy them a date night or some gift cards or something. God had another plan. Within a few weeks their van ended up breaking down. They had it fixed before we knew anything happened, and so we thought we missed our chance. But then it broke again the next week! The repairs were not working, and they were going to need to buy a new van, but didn’t have the money to do so. They considered cashing in a 401k to make it work, so my wife and I felt this was our chance to step in.

We used most of our savings to take our pastor car shopping the following Saturday. It took us 4 hours and 3 dealerships to find the perfect van at the perfect price, and then we got to deliver the van home to his family! I told him “this is the only way to make car shopping enjoyable!” And it really was a joy!
