A painted house like new
An elderly lady in the community was living in a house that had large places of peeling paint. It looked bad and I knew she did not have the money to have it scraped and painted. I hired some painters to scrape and paint her house and I told the painters not to tell her who was having it done. When the painters went to do the job, she said, “I can’t pay for this.” They told her it was OK because it had been taken care of. The lady has passed away now, but it was a joy to bless her with a freshly painted house.
